Journey

by ian on Sep.25, 2008, under General

Anyone that reads Kami’s blog knows that we went to see Jouney the other night.  It was a great show.  They were playing with Cheap Trick and Heart.  We went with some good friends and had a blast.  None of us really wanted to see Cheap Trick all that much so we went to PF Changs for dinner before the show.  That was a perfect start to the evening.

After dinner we made our way to the Arena.  We go there in between Cheap Trick and Heart, which worked out perfectly.  We found our awesome seats.  Row 15 center stage.  Heart was execellent.  Ann Wilson can wail and Nancy can rock on guitar.   They played for about an hour and then it was time for the main show.

If you ever get a chance to see Journey, you should jump at it.  Even if you aren’t a huge fan, they put on a good show and it’s worth every penny.  Especially with their new singer.  I personally think he’s the best one they’ve had.  He really knows how to entertain.  Anyway, it was awesome.  We had to go buy the new album the next day, especially since it came with a concert DVD.

Here’s some pics courtesy of Jeff.

Yesterday I bought a figure for our latest D&D campaign.  I’m playing an Eladrin Wizard name Tathar.  Alex came over and helped me paint him.

What to be for halloween

by ian on Sep.07, 2008, under Humor

Andy has been pretty excited for Halloween this year and rightfully so.  He will turn 3 and will be able to have his first birthday where he really gets what is going on.  Last year he was still pretty out of it but he had it figured out by December.  It made for a long year of birthdays and him wanting a turn.  The other part he is excited for is dressing up as something.

Needless to say, he has not settled on a character.  Sometimes he wants to be the Joker, sometimes it is Spongebob.  Today on the way to church he told us in his little three year old voice.  “I’m goin’ to be a door for Halloween.”  I know.  You’re probably thinking what I was.  A door?  Then he told us that he would have a door mask and that people would be able to open him.

I don’t get it.
