Should I be worried?

Yesterday we were at Big 5 looking at some camping gear for our trip this summer. To get to the camping stuff we had to walk by all of the guns. Andy looked up at me and said, “Dad, can we get a gun?” I told him that we aren’t getting a gun and he said “Not yet?” and I said “No, not for a while.” He kept asking and asking. I asked him why he wanted a gun and he said it was so that he could shoot bad guys. I finally got down on his eye level and told him flat out, “No we are not getting a gun.” He was crushed. He totally broke down and cried.
Kami took him and near the check stand he stopped crying and asked if he could have some gummy bears instead. I think it was a well thought out plan.
What to be for halloween
by ian on Sep.07, 2008, under Humor
Andy has been pretty excited for Halloween this year and rightfully so. He will turn 3 and will be able to have his first birthday where he really gets what is going on. Last year he was still pretty out of it but he had it figured out by December. It made for a long year of birthdays and him wanting a turn. The other part he is excited for is dressing up as something.
Needless to say, he has not settled on a character. Sometimes he wants to be the Joker, sometimes it is Spongebob. Today on the way to church he told us in his little three year old voice. “I’m goin’ to be a door for Halloween.” I know. You’re probably thinking what I was. A door? Then he told us that he would have a door mask and that people would be able to open him.
I don’t get it.
