Birthday post
by ian on Mar.08, 2009, under My Life
Yesterday was my birthday. It was a good day. Earlier in the week our TV we bought when we first got married stopped working so we ordered a new one from Costco.com. Saturday we discovered that it was backordered indefinitley so we figured we’d go see what waas available locally. We found a good deal on another Sony so we got it. Now we can play guitar hero on a big screen.
I had some family over and a couple of friends for some cake. The cake was awesome, I found a buttercream frosting recipe online and Kami made it but it wasn’t chocolatey so she kept adding chocolate chips to it. I was nice and fluffy when it went on but after it cooled and sat in the fridge it was like the cake had been frosted with milk chocolate. Needless to say, it was very tasty.
So here’s what I got.
- Guitar Hero World tour for the Wii.
- Dungeon Delve (D&D Suppliment)
- A rocket Gun
- Sketchbook
- Chainmail (D&D minis)
- Money for guitar hero downloads
- Money for other stuff (Spent on Wii Remotes)
It was a good birthday. Thanks everyone.
What to be for halloween
by ian on Sep.07, 2008, under Humor
Andy has been pretty excited for Halloween this year and rightfully so. He will turn 3 and will be able to have his first birthday where he really gets what is going on. Last year he was still pretty out of it but he had it figured out by December. It made for a long year of birthdays and him wanting a turn. The other part he is excited for is dressing up as something.
Needless to say, he has not settled on a character. Sometimes he wants to be the Joker, sometimes it is Spongebob. Today on the way to church he told us in his little three year old voice. “I’m goin’ to be a door for Halloween.” I know. You’re probably thinking what I was. A door? Then he told us that he would have a door mask and that people would be able to open him.
I don’t get it.
